Anticipating future expansion, Apple and Adobe are expanding office space by buying additional property.
Adobe has bought 5.5 acres in San Jose (picture below) that is about a quarter-mile from the software company's Park Avenue headquarters. Adobe has no immediate plans to build there, but wanted to secure the site to allow room for expansion. [via]
Apple is also planning to build a second 50-acre campus near its present headquarters in Cupertino, California. It would likely take three to four years to design and build the campus that could accommodate 3,000 to 3,500 employees. [via]
